Keyway iFeatures

Inventor Keyway iFeatures: design specifications were all taken from "The Machinery Handbook" to ensure Industry Standardization.

Insert the iFeature for a Rectangular keyway (In this example, a 3.0" bore) by selecting the shaft end.

We are then presented with the Model Parameters that define the iFeature, and they can be accepted as is, or individually modified.

We select to "Activate Sketch Edit Immediately".

Next, we "Project Geometry" of the Work Planes that bisect the shaft, and use "Colinear" constraints to fully constrain the iFeature sketch.

Once the iFeature sketch is fully constrained, we update the part.
